The transportation sector requires additional security as it contains many high value assets such as railways, planes, tunnels, bridges, trucks, and naval vessels. 

The size of this sector causes major budgetary issues with regard to security controls. By spreading data protection efforts too thin, enforcement becomes lax, and breaches become all too common.

Armored Car Company

National armored car company leaks out security and access control plans for a vault at JFK Airport. These files contained vault pass codes and remote surveillance pass codes, which can be used to disable cameras remotely. Also leaked were the front and back scans of employee identification, drivers licenses, and passports. RedTeam contacted the CEO and ensured removal of the P2P application.

Indonesian Airline

An executive at an Indonesian airline corporation published 9,263 files onto the gnutella P2P network, including security documents, human resource information and thousands of 
files relating to internal communications and vendor relations. RedTeam emailed the executive and the files stopped transmitting shortly thereafter.
